William S. Anderson (born March 29, 1919) served as president and chairman of the National Cash Register Corp (NCR) from 1972 to 1984.[1]

Anderson spent all of his early life in China.

Military service and prisoner of war

As a British reservist in China during World War II, Anderson spent four years as a Prisoner of War under Japanese occupation.[2]
